Buy a Domain and Finally Start Your Blog!

When brainstorming names for a new blog, it can seem like every domain name is already taken.

These domains are registered and available for anyone else to buy.

So if you’re unable to find a domain name that’s available, you can choose from these existing domains that are for sale!

FAQs

How do I buy a domain?

These domains are available for purchase through NameCheap, one of the best domain name registrars for bloggers.

Just add a domain to your cart, proceed to checkout, and create an account to complete your purchase. The domain will be transferred to your account!

One of the great things about NameCheap is that they offer free Who.Is protection, which keeps your name and address private online! 👍

How long does it take for a domain to transfer to my account?

It may take up to 48 hours for the domain to be moved to your account.

This is because transfers are manually approved by NameCheap’s Risk Management department. 🔒

How much will it cost to renew?

The renewal costs are the same as any other domain…under $15!

Make sure you renew your domain before it expires, or enable auto-renew so you don’t have to worry about forgetting.

How do I add a domain to my blog’s web hosting?

Once you have your domain, you can point it to the web host of your choice (we recommend SiteGround) using these instructions.

You basically just have to add the nameservers from your web host to your domain’s settings, then wait for the changes to propagate.

It’s really easy to do; waiting is the only hard part. 😉

Best of luck on your new blog!
